Everything you need to know
Getting here, what's waiting for you, the house rules, and answers to the questions we hear most.
Getting Here
From the airport to your door
A quick 10-minute drive from MYR
Moore Memories is about 6 miles (~10 minutes) from Myrtle Beach International Airport. Head south on US-17 Bypass / S Kings Hwy; Ocean Lakes sits on S Kings Hwy at Highway 544. From farther out, US-501 and Hwy 31 feed into the area, then take Hwy 544 east toward the ocean.
GPS the park first, then the site
Set navigation to the main entrance — 6001 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575 — to reach the manned gate every time. Don’t rely on the street address (1669 Starfish Rd) alone, as in-park roads may not route correctly. Inside, follow signs to Starfish Road and Site 1669.
The main gate at Hwy 544 (manned 24/7)
Ocean Lakes is private and gated. The main entrance is staffed by Security around the clock, 365 days a year, and every vehicle is checked for a valid car pass before entering.
Car pass for every vehicle
Each vehicle must display a car pass on the mirror — Ocean Lakes charges a daily fee per vehicle (~$12–$15/day). Get your passes by registering in person at the Main Office, or via Express Check-In.
Recommended: Express Check-In
Request it 2+ weeks ahead and Ocean Lakes mails your car passes before you arrive — so you skip the office, show your pass at the gate, and drive straight to Site 1669.
Arriving at the home
Pull into the concrete driveway (parking for 3). You’ll know it by the covered metal-roof porch, composite deck, and turf yard. Everything’s ready and waiting — just unload and settle in.
Getting around
Ocean Lakes spans 310 golf-cart-friendly acres. From Site 1669 the beach, pools, and Sandy Mart are a short, easy ride. Keep your car pass displayed for the whole stay.
Gated & secure — Ocean Lakes is a fully gated resort with Security at the Highway 544 main gate 24/7, year-round. Every vehicle is checked for a valid car pass before entry, and patrols monitor the grounds — a big part of why families feel safe here.
